SOME INTERESTING SPECIAL FACTS ABOUT OUR FAVORITE ENGINE THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE

 

1.  Chuff Chuff!  The noise of steam engines is made by steam coming out of their funnels.

 

2.  Thomas works on his own branch line.  It runs between Tidmouth and the town of Ffarquhar.

 

3. Shunting engines, such as Mavis and Bert, work in the sidings.  They push, pull and sort wagons.

 

4.  Thomas The Tank Engine whistle works by steam.  When his Driver pulls a string, steam rushes  through the whistle.

 

5.  Sodor is an island.  But the Main Line is connected to the Mainland.  That's how Henry got to Crewe to be repaired.
