A new flagpole is needed for Callan Castle, and when it is knocked onto the line and run over by Salty, Henry fears his favorite tree will be cut down to provide a new one. His fears are amplified when he is asked to transport some saw-wielding workmen to the forest, and makes several detours to find a replacement. Henry ends up causing a muddle, but is relieved to find the workmen were simply traveling to the forest to collect firewood, and a mast from an abandoned yacht is used as the flagpole.
